Ink Kingz in Pontefract (www.inkkingztattoostudio.co.uk) were expanding their tattoo studio into the unit next door and needed a full signage and window graphics package to bring the new space to life. Having previously worked with us on their Wakefield studio, they returned to Brand Works to keep their branding consistent across both locations.

During the site survey, we discovered the old signage had completely rotted away, leaving no stable structure for new graphics. This meant we needed to rebuild a secure frame, recommend a durable signage solution, and create a design that matched their existing identity while elevating the overall look of the Pontefract studio.

We began with a detailed site survey to assess the condition of the shopfront and gather accurate measurements. With the original structure unusable, we designed a new support frame to ensure the fresh signage would be long-lasting and safe.
To keep the brand cohesive with their Wakefield studio, we replicated their bold, clean aesthetic and selected high-quality materials to achieve a striking finish. All elements were designed, printed and produced in-house to maintain accuracy and colour consistency.

The final specification included:
Powder-coated matt black tray signs
Aluminium composite letters on stand-off fixings for depth and visibility
Frosted window vinyl for privacy
Gold and white cut vinyl applied internally for a premium, layered effect on the windows

Once production was complete, our installation team fitted the new frame, installed the tray signs, and applied the window graphics — ensuring everything aligned perfectly.

The new shopfront gives Ink Kingz a bold, premium presence that stands out on the Pontefract high street while staying true to the branding of their Wakefield studio. The matt black tray sign paired with stand-off lettering creates strong visual impact, and the gold and white vinyl detailing adds a refined finish to the windows.
